We discuss Sam Harris and Bill Maher vs. Ben Affleck, a ton of follow up stories including the girl who stopped chemo therapy because Jesus said she was cured has a relapse, the teen who took pictures of himself in compromising positions with Jesus pleads guilty and is sentenced, Catholics perform an exorcism to clean up ‘entities’ left behind by the Satanists’ Black Mass; Hindus scrub down a temple after a low caste governor touches their stuff with his Dalit cooties, an FFRF quiz pits Jay, Jeff and Susan against each other, proselytyzing cops, a Texas Republican is sworn in and likens exercising your first amendment rights to shooting people in the throat, Justice Scalia is a crazy person but 32 states now reject religious morality and allow marriage equality. Yay!

Jay is sick for sitting on the fence regarding the child with cancer. To say you don’t know if you should leave a child who will die cause the parents don’t want chemo because you hate for anyone to step in on a family’s rights when it’s a matter of life and death (at least to a high percentage) is no different than giving an abused child back to the abusing parents. As a child abuse advocate, I find it also similar to saying it’s okay for the parents to murder their child cause they are tired of feeding it. I have no respect for Jay at all and I am sorry cause I like the podcast other than his attitude on this matter. I couldn’t even listen to the rest of the show.

      I agree wholeheartedly.

    • Jay says:

Well, I’m sorry you disagree and dislike my attitude on the matter. On one hand it is a human life potentially being lost while probably prepreventable with conventional treatment. On the other hand intervening is removing the family’s choice of lifestyle.
It should be no secret at this point that I am a propent of less intervention on personal lifestyle choices. I’m still not decided on this particular issue.
I apologize again for turning you off of the show, that is definitely not a desired outcome. One opinion that opposes the popular position shouldn’t keep you from enjoying the content and I hope you’ll join us for many more sessions of verbally beating Jay with an angry stick.

      • Christian Ferris says:

If your lifestyle includes killing children your lifestyle deserves no respect. Period.

      • Jay E. says:

Jay, I still plan to download the podcast in the future, but i was just so angry that night I had to turn it off. I hope you come down on my side of this issue, not because its my side, but because its the right side. A family’s choice of lifestyle should not include those which in all professionals agree will kill a child (this is outside the 1st & 2nd trimester abortion issue-its the woman’s choice there). I will await any future explanations you have on this matter.
